Hooray! Hammond Ground countryside saved!

CPRE Lancashire is delighted that local residents and Ribble Valley Borough Council successfully convinced a Planning Inspector to dismiss an appeal by the Trustees of Hammond Ground against a refused planning application due to harm to the countryside.

Update: Grey Gables Farm to be Bulldozed

CPRE Lancashire was disappointed to learn that an appeal inspector decided to allow the Bellway’s appeal of South Ribble Council’s refusal, for demolition of Grey Gables Farm and development of 193 new homes.

On the 19th July, CPRE Lancashire was pleased to host more than fifty attendees to an event titled ‘Greening the Liverpool City Region’.  We updated the attendees on the activity of CPRE and showed two films depicting the current situation regarding Government housing requirements and the issues around bring brownfield land forward and pressure to release Green Belt protected land.
