Branch responds to Environmental Permit consultation for the Whitemoss Hazardous Waste Landfill
CPRE Lancashire has responded to the Environment Agency Consultation to vary the Environmental Permit for the Whitemoss Hazardous Waste Landfill site, to take account of the creation and operation of the Western Extension of the existing hazardous waste landfill site and seeks improvements in the draft variation of the permit.

Permission granted for expansion of Whitemoss hazardous landfill in Green Belt
The Branch is very disappointed to learn that Greg Clark, the Secretary of State for the Department of Communities and Local Government, has decided to grant a Development Consent Order for the extension of a hazardous waste landfill facility in the Green Belt immediately to the south of Skelmersdale.
