CPRE Lancashire are currently objecting to any further windfarms in the Forest of Bowland, due to its designation as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

This page will be updated as further information is available.

Currently the initial application of 20, 126.5m high turbines is being heard at a public inquiry starting in May 2011.  CPRE Lancashire is part of a consortium that has gained 'Rule 6' status at the Public Inquiry.  We will be vigorously objecting to this proposal.

A second application of 13 turbines is currently 'live' at Lancaster City Council planning department.  If you wish to comment, the application number is 10/01151/FUL.
