Branch AGM at Mere Sands Wood

Thursday, 27 September 2018 08:42

CPRE Lancashire members turned out in droves on Wednesday 12th September to enjoy the AGM and the informative talk by Lindsay Beaton as they strolled around Mere Sands Wood, a nature reserve managed by Lancashire Wildlife Trust.  Tea and cakes were in  abundance to reward our countryside loving members.

A walk in Mere Sands Wood

The AGM covered the usual voting (of trustees, accountants, auditors) and an update of the articles of association to aid the governance of the Lancashire Branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England.  Our members agree that all people have an interest in the future protection and enhancement as development is planned. The charity worked tirelessly in 2017 to champion countryside issues and stop needless destruction of land in the countryside for the benefit of future farming and wildlife habitat and will continue to do so in 2018 and beyond.
