Homes people can afford

The need for affordable housing has is often thought of as a particularly urban problem. However, CPRE research recently demonstrated that the number of households classed as homeless in rural towns and villages increased by 85% over the year from September 2018 – 2019. The alarming rise in homelessness right across the country is a catastrophic demonstration of how government housing policies have failed society as a whole, and rural areas in particular.
