On The Edge – national campaign, local impact.

Our new national campaign, On the Edge, is inviting people across England to stand behind a shared ambition: that every town and city should be surrounded by thriving and protected countryside — for nature, climate and wellbeing.

Across England, the countryside on the edge of our towns and cities shapes everyday life. It’s the woodland at the end of the road. The path behind the houses. The fields people pass on the school run or walk through at the weekend.

These places play a vital role in tackling the nature and climate crises — supporting wildlife, sustaining local food systems, shielding communities from flooding and heat, and offering millions of people access to nature close to home.
