Success: Bredbury Industrial Estate Expansion rejected!
We’re delighted to be able to report that our work in opposing the expansion of Bredbury Industrial Park into the Green Belt has been successful!
Working with local groups, CPRE objected to the proposed expansion of Bredbury Industrial Estate. Andrew Gwynne MP led local opposition and CPRE fielded its planning expert, Jackie Copley, who articulated a number of issues.
We were especially pleased that when the Inspector dismissed the appeal, he cited three important reasons which CPRE had highlighted, including:
Green Belt harm,
Landscape Character harm,
and lack of very special circumstances.
CPRE was pleased to be able to support the local community in providing this planning advice to protect Stockport’s Green Belt for the benefit of everyone in the future.
